The TCD Law Student Colloquium is pleased to announce the launch of its official TikTok and YouTube channels, creating new spaces for students, academics, alumni, and members of the wider Trinity community to engage with the Colloquium beyond our in-person events.
Our new digital platforms will allow us to share more of the conversations, ideas, people, and activities that make the Colloquium a vibrant part of student life at Trinity College Dublin.
Bringing the Colloquium to a wider audience
The Colloquium has always been about creating opportunities for discussion, connection, and the exchange of ideas. Our new social media channels build on that mission by making our content more accessible and allowing conversations that take place at our events to reach a much wider audience.
Through TikTok and YouTube, we will be sharing a range of content reflecting the academic, professional, and social life of the Colloquium.
What can you expect?
Our new channels will feature a variety of content, including:
🎓 Student voices and perspectives
We will highlight the experiences, perspectives, and ideas of students within the law community, providing a platform for students to share their views and engage with important legal and academic questions.
💬 Discussions and ideas
The channels will showcase discussions surrounding law, policy, current issues, and academic developments, helping to continue conversations beyond the classroom and our events.
🎥 Event highlights and recaps
From panel discussions and academic events to competitions and community activities, we will share highlights and selected moments from Colloquium events.
📚 Legal and academic content
Our platforms will also provide opportunities to explore legal topics, academic research, emerging areas of law, and issues relevant to students and the wider legal community.
✨ Behind the scenes
We will give followers a closer look at the work that goes into organising the Colloquium, including preparations for events, activities of the committee, and moments from student life.
📅 Upcoming opportunities and events
The channels will also complement our existing communications by providing updates about upcoming events, competitions, opportunities, and other activities organised by or connected with the Colloquium.
More than just another social media channel
The launch of TikTok and YouTube is part of our broader effort to make the Colloquium more accessible and connected.
While our events remain at the heart of what we do, digital platforms provide an opportunity to continue conversations after an event has ended and to reach people who may not always be able to attend in person.
Whether you are a current Trinity student, an academic, a member of the legal profession, an alumnus, or simply someone with an interest in law and academic discussion, our new channels are designed to provide something for you.
We hope that they will become a space where student voices are heard, ideas are shared, and conversations continue.
Follow and subscribe.
We invite members of the Trinity and wider legal community to follow our TikTok account and subscribe to our YouTube channel.
